GNIDA Links Greater Noida West by Extension of Metro Line
Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) approves the extension of a metro, which is phase I and II of Aqua line comprising 9 stations in total, officials said.
The Greater Noida West will be smartly connected with the metro as Greater Noida authority approved the extension of metro.
There will be two phase of the metro line, which will include 9 stations in total from Sector 71 to Knowledge park V.
- Phase I of the metro will be comprised of five stations: Noida Sector 71, Sector 122, Sector 123, and Sector 4 to Greater Noida West at Ecotech 12.
- Phase II of the metro includes the stations: Greater Noida sector 2, 3, 10, and Knowledge Park V.
The total cost for the extension project is estimated to2, 602 crores, which will be funded by central and state government. However, the cost estimated for phase 1 is 1,521 crores and it will be completed by 2020-21.
For now, GNIDA approved Rs 151 crores, which is their share for the first phase metro extension.
40,000 units are occupied, while 3.5 lakh housing units are under construction in Greater Noida West.
“This project will change the fortune of this belt,” said the officials. This project will benefit thousands of homebuyers who own a property in the particular area or who are planning to. It will also have a positive impact Ghaziabad area (near crossing Republik), where 30,000 of 36,000 housing units are occupied.
