Things are getting bigger and better by the day, all thanks to the proactive authorities of this tremendous city.
The always on the move DMRC – Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is at it once again. The corporation which has changed the face of NCR for the way better has very recently invited bids and tenders for two state of the art green electrical receiving substations. The aim behind this strategic move is to efficiently and effectively handle the power and energy requirements of the upcoming and highly anticipated Greater Noida-Noida metro rail corridor. Sector 153 and 83 of Noida will play home to these power stations. A plethora of green and energy efficient features like rain water harvesting, LED bulbs, solar power panels and carbon dioxide sensors will adorn the facility. Once operational, Noida will become the very first city of the country to house dedicated green power stations for its metro stations. Now that’s what you call a game changer.
The vibrant Noida Authority isn’t far behind either. They have signed a MOU – memorandum of understanding with MOEF&CC that is Union ministry of environment, forest and climate change, with the aim to build a cutting edge botanic garden. The garden will be developed on a sprawling and lush green 164 acres of land in sector 38A of Noida. A plethora of plants will be grown in the garden, which in turn will not only be used for display but for the purpose of research as well. Therefore the wonderful Noida is all set to be a greener and better place.
A brand new impressive railway underpass is being developed near the usually congested Hindon barrage to get rid of traffic jams in the region. GDA – Ghaziabad Development Authority has signed on the dotted line of a MoU with the immensely crucial railways department, and the requisite work has already kick started. The project is going to be built at a cost of 17 crores which is a small price to pay for the convenience of residents of NCR.
